Over $35 Million So Far!

The GG Online Championship has been running for only 7 days. In that time GGPoker has hosted 32 events for a total of 100 tournaments. Over these tournaments, the online poker community has won over $35 Million! All of that and the GG Online Championship series still has 20 days to go.

To celebrate the conclusion of the first week, Thursday is full of excitement with 5 events and 16 tournaments, including 1 Super High Roller and 2 $1,000,000 guarantees.

Thursday Line Up

Thursday begins the same way the series began, with a set of Bounty Hunter tournaments. With buy-ins of $5.25 for the Low, $52.50 for the Medium and $525 for the High, you have your choice of tournaments to win a share of the $690,000 available in guarantees. With an early start time of 16:30 UTC and up to 3.5 hours of late registration, it’s a great scoop to start the warm up for the weekend.

With the early Bounty Hunter tournaments running, we jump ahead to 17:10 and Event #34 Omaholic Main Event. This trio offers late registration for up to 3.75 hours with buy-ins at $25, $150 and $1,050. The respective prize pools for them are $50,000, $75,000 and $150,000 for a total of $275,000 guaranteed for playing some Omaha.

The Bounty Hunters and Omalohic are the perfect warm-up events for the big game on Thursday, the Thursday Thriller Bounty. This week, the Thursday Thriller is being offered at 4 buy-in tiers. The Low tier, a $25 bounty, offers a massive $150,000 guarantee while the Medium tier is guaranteeing $400,000 for a $150 buy-in. The High, with a $1,050 buy-in gets the party rolling with a giant $750,000 meanwhile, the Super High, the granddaddy of this Event #35 has guaranteed a whopping $1,000,000 on a buy-in of $10,300. All together, the Thursday Thriller Bounty tournaments, which start at 18:00 UTC, offer a total of $2.3 million and no less than two-and-a-half hours of late registration.

With the Thursday Thriller off and running, the next event on the schedule is #36, the High Roller. This event, split into 3 tiers runs as the $250 Mini High Roller, $2,625 High Roller and the $25,500 Super High Roller. With a slow structure and deep 100K starting stacks, this set of events offers everyone a chance to test their poker skills in a true battle of patience and wits. Totaling $1,700,000 in guarantees, with $1,000,000 set aside for the Super High Roller, this is an event you don’t want to miss.

If you enjoy Omaha and Bounty tournaments, the last event of this $5,430,000 guaranteed Thursday is definitely your scoop. Event #37 is a group of Omaholic Bounty tournaments. With buy-ins at $52.50, $525 and $5,250 guaranteeing prize pools of $40,000, $125,000 and $300,000, these tournaments are sure to be memorable.

Here are a few fun facts as we head into the second weekend of the biggest online poker series, the GG Online Championship.

All of that in just 8 glorious days of poker! With 19 days remaining in the series, with over $118 Million in guarantees and 305 tournaments still to play, this series is just starting to get really good. We have an easy Friday scheduled with just 9 tournaments. Hopefully, after a tough week of work and an exciting Thursday, this will give you the time rest and prepare for what looks to be a crazy GG Online Championship weekend. Friday starts with a set of Ultra Deep Bounty Hunter tournaments. These tournaments start at 16:30 UTC and offer $340,000 in guarantees. Starting with a buy-in as low as $5.25, this is a nice relaxing way to get the weekend rolling. Event #39 is the always fun Friday Night Fight. With buy-ins at $25, 150 and $1,050 these tournaments let you pummel your opponents chip stacks and scoop their progressive bounties. Offering $375,000 in guarantees and 50K starting stacks, these are set to be a real fight. Event #40, the TGIF Hyper Special 6-max, is the final event of the day. Offering $25,000, $50,000 and $75,000 in guarantees for buy-ins of $5, $50 and $500, this tournament is the perfect way to end the evening. Watch out for tomorrow’s double scoop of the weekend!

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Weekend!

The weekend has arrived and the GGPoker GG Online Championship has brought the game. With over $19,000,000 in guarantees, 15 events, 47 tournaments and 5 guarantees of at least $1 Million, the party and the stars will all be at GGPoker. 

Saturday starts off with the Saturday Special. This set of events features 100K deep stacks, long blind levels and up to 4 hours of late registration. Starting at 15:00 UTC this is one super stacked event you do not want to miss.

As you get comfortable with that first event, at 16:30 UTC the second event of the day starts. Event #42 Bounty Hunters Double stack gives players the opportunity to play the long game as they hunt their opponents and scoop the bounty for a buy-in as low as $5.25.

The last of the regular bounty tournaments for the day, Event #44 Saturday Knockout and Event #45 Omaholic Big Game Bounty, start at 18:00 UTC and 19:40 UTC respectively. Whether you prefer Omaha or Hold’em, as long as you enjoy getting paid to take out the competition, we have a set of tournaments just right for you. WIth deep starting stacks and some of the slowest blinds, up to 20 minutes per level, practice your patience in these tournaments.

Starting at 17:10 UTC, Event #43 Omaholic Main Event promises to be as exciting as ever. Guaranteeing over $200,000 with buy-ins at $25, $150 and $1,050, this set of tournaments is sure to scratch your Omaha itch. With satellites into these events running regularly, there is no excuse to miss this superb Omaholics event.
The big event for Saturday is the massive Event #46 Mystery Bounty. This event which shares $3.5 Million among the Low, Medium and High tier tournaments is a unique take on the traditional bounty tournaments. The Mystery bounty tournaments are split into 2 parts. During the first part, you play through as you would a normal tournament. Once the second part begins, the Bounty portion of the prize pool gets randomly split amongst the remaining players. The amounts assigned stay hidden until the player is KO’d from the tournament or you win the event. With bounties that can be as high as $100,000, why would you want to miss this opportunity. Day 1’s for all tiers of the Mystery Bounty are already running, jump in now!

Super Sunday

Because guaranteeing over $6 Million on Saturday just does not seem like enough, Sunday the GG Online Championship has over $13 Million available for you to win. Starting at 14:00 UTC, Sunday begins with the Sunday Marathon. $800,000 split over the 3 tiers with buy-in at $30, 300 and $1,500. This will be a great way to ease into a busy Sunday.

At 16:30 UTC, the GG Online Championships launch the Bounty Hunters Sunday. This big buy-in tournament has over $2.5 Million guaranteed. The Low event guarantees a “meager” $250,000 with a $52.50 buy-in while the Medium and High carry guarantees of $1,250,000 each for a buy-in of $525 and $5,250 respectively. With progressive bounties starting at $12.50, $125 and $1,250 there are a ton of prizes to go around.

This is followed by Event #49 GGMasters at 17:00 UTC, the High tier version of this trio of tournaments carries another $1 Million guarantee for a buy-in of $1,050. The Medium and Low are offering $600K and $100K with buy-ins of $150 and $25.

Events #50, #52 and #51, starting at 17:40 UTC, 18:30 UTC and 19:00 UTC, are the Omaholics Bounty, GGMasters Bounty King and Sunday High Roller tournaments. With almost $3,000,000 in guarantees over these 3 events, you have your pick of game and buy-in.

At 20:00 UTC, the Sunday Mulligan, Event #53 launches. These 3 events share a guarantee of $2.5 Million and buy-ins at $250, $2,625 and $25,500. The Sunday Mulligan is always a great way to wind down at the end of the weekend, but with these guarantees, it’s almost like the weekend is just beginning.

The second Sunday of the GG Online Championships ends with the Sunday Saver at 23:00 UTC. Snuggle up with this quick tournament for a comfortable end to the day and a chance to share over $300,000 in guarantees.

But Wait, There’s More…

The Final Day for both the MILLION$ Mini Main Event and the Omaholic MILLION$ start at 20:30 UTC. With constant satellites and Day 1’s running every couple leading up to the event, you have lots of time to try and make it to the final day for a chance at a share of $1,000,000 in the Mini Main Event or $250,000 in the Omaholic.
